Construct your own Birthday Party
Parties at the Children’s Museum of the Valley are a blast! They include 2 hours in the birthday party room and free play in the museum for the for the duration of the day (until 4:30 p.m.). All packages include museum admission for up to 15 children and additional children are $2 per child. Admission is free for accompanying adults. Please read our birthday guidelines for more specific information.

Birthdays can be scheduled at the following times:
Tuesday thru Saturday - 10:30-12:30 (party ends with ½ hr clean-up).
Tuesday thru Saturday - 1:30 to 3:30 PM
Sunday - 2:00-4:00 PM (Closed on Sundays from June through September)
Basic Birthday Party Package
Your package includes:
- Exclusive use of unstaffed Birthday Party Room.
- Admission to the museum during open hours (until 4:30 PM). Adult hosts are responsible for all guests during open hours once the party has ended. One adult for every five children, please.
- Party favor: Free child admission for future visit to CMV.
- Birthday party invitations (postcards — CMV can mail then to you for $1.50).
- Nametags for children.
You provide:
- Cake
- Food and beverages
- Tableware and decorations (no piñatas or balloons please)
Rental Fees:
- $90 for nonmembers during regular open hours.
 $81 for CMV members during regular open hours.
Birthday Blast Package
Includes all of Basic Package plus:
- Exclusive use of a staffed birthday party room.
- A Birthday Party facilitator to assist you in set-up, food service, gift opening, and clean-up in the party room.
- One dozen balloons (latex, your choice of color; helium is unavailable due to high ceilings).
- Table Coverings (choose from red, pink, blue, yellow, green and purple; set up by museum staff).
- Tableware (plates, napkins; choose from red, yellow, blue, pink, green or purple; clear or white forks only).
- Juice boxes (Capri Sun, 1 per child; you are welcome to bring extra).
- Personalized ¼-sheet cake from Churchill Commons Giant Eagle (let us know if you do not want us to purchase a cake; ½ sheet cakes require an additional $7.50 fee).
- Birthday candles
You provide:
- Any other food or drink besides cake and juice boxes.
Rental Fees:
- $150 for nonmembers during regular open hours.
- 135 for CMV members during regular open hours.
Birthday Party Extravaganza
Have the entire museum to yourself! Book the Children’s Museum after-hours and enjoy the museum for two hours between 5:00 and 8:00 PM Evening parties cannot be scheduled on the first Wednesday of the month.

Birthday Party Upgrades
Staff-Led Craft Activity (Mask Making): $2/child
Staff-Led Activity (FLUBBER): $3/child
Face Painting: $5/child
Birthday Party Booking
The party packages are developed for up to 15 children ($2 for each additional child) and all accompanying adults. We require one adult chaperone for every five children.
A $25 non-refundable deposit is necessary to book your birthday party. You may pick up your invitations when making your deposit. If you would like, the museum will mail your invitations to you at an additional charge of $1.00. The balance of your party is due no later than three days prior to your birthday party. We accept cash, check, and Visa or MasterCard. Reservations will not be confirmed unless deposit has been received.
