You can become an adoptive parent at the Cildren's Museum of the Valley and help CMV to care for our live animals! When you become an adoptive parents, you will recieve an adoption certificate and a picture of your special creature. Every year, you will be invited to attend two special "Adoptive Parents Only" days at the Children's Museum. These admission-free days will be filled with special arts and crafts, live animal presentations, and lots of yummy goodies for you and your parents.

How can I become a Parent?

There are 5 steps to follow to become an adoptive parent; they are:

1. Have an adult fill out the registration materials. If the adoptive parent is unde rage 18, please remember to list the caregiver's name where indicated
2. Have your caregiver/parent bring the brochure to the museum with poayment or mail it to the museum. You may also pay over the telephone.
3. After we recieve your information, you will recieve your Adoptive Parent Packet, complete with all of the benefits listed for the creature you adopt. We will also send you an informational sheet about your creature.
4. We will mail you your invitation to "Adoptive Parnent's Day" at least one month ahead of the event. We hope you will enjoy this special event just for you and your caregivers!
5. Can I adopt more than one creature?
   We would love if you did! You will recieve all of the benefits listed for the creatures you adopt. For each additional creature you adopt, we will include two additional visitors passes in addition to those you recieve.

Adoption Levels

Benefits for all adoptive animals include a certificate, picture and invitation to Adoptive Parent's Day (twice a year).

• $20 Frog (specify tree frog or fire-bellied toad)

• $30 Anole (lizard)
  * plus a nylon drawstring backpack
• $40 Turtle
  * plus additional 3 passes (5 total)
• $50 Guinea Pig
  * 5 additional free passes (10 total)
