There are many ways to support the Children’s Museum of the Valley. From memberships to volunteering, sponsorships to individual gifts, or the "Adopt a Creature Program" we are happy to help you find the best fit.
Financial Contributions
Your gift to CMV helps us to keep our admission fees low, especially to schools that come to the museum for field trips. With general admission fees accounting for only 11% of CMV’s revenues, your gift will help us to develop innovative programs and exhibits, sponsor scholarships for needy children to our summer camp, or underwrite a program to make it free for all!

CMV is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
You can contribute the following ways:
- We accept cash, check, credit card or stock transfers.
- Make a multi-year pledge—help us secure the future of our Valley’s only museum for children! Make payments quarterly or annually.
- Designate the museum as your company’s annual employee giving program. Inquire as to whether your company will match the gift.
- Tribute gifts—Celebrate an anniversary, graduation, wedding, birthday or any significant event with a gift to CMV. Remember a deceased loved one or friend as well. We will send a letter to the honoree to recognize your gift.
- Name CMV as a beneficiary of your will, retirement plan or life insurance policy. Other giving plans may involve the use of charitable trusts, appreciated assets, pooled income funds, charitable gift annuities or charitable foundations.

Your gift will be publicly recognized and your name added to the CMV Donor Wall and in our quarterly newsletter, Play Matters. We recognize the following categories of giving:
- Contributor: Gifts up to $249
- Donor: Gifts of $250 to $499
- Patron: Gifts of $500 to $999
- Silver Patron: Gifts of $1,000 to $2,499
- Grand Patron: Gifts of $2,500 and above

We will accept sponsorships on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Honor a special person (even a child) who has touched your life by making a donation in their name. Remember a birthday, anniversary, and other special occasions on a date of your choice. You can also make a gift in memory of a loved one.

VOLUNTEER!

YOUTH VOLUNTEERS
If you are between the age of 12-18, you can volunteer at CMV!
You can help us in the following ways:
- Play Guide: Don an apron and facilitate young visitors in the world of play. Engage kids in art or science activities, put on a puppet show, or read a story. We will train you in a variety of assignments at the museum.
- Birthday Buddy: Help our Birthday Party Coordinator by setting up, facilitating activities, and chaperoning young guests in the museum.
ADULT VOLUNTEERS
We offer a wide variety of opportunities to match your skills, interests and schedule. To ensure the safety of our visitors, all adult volunteers must complete a criminal background check (fingerprinting--at our expense) and visit with staff prior to assignment in the museum.
Help us in the following ways:
- Program Volunteer: Help us to plan and implement fun and educational programs for kids. Work with our Manager of Education to engage children in story times, science experiments, or art activities.
- Right Hands: Use your skills to provide administrative support to the museum. Help us with bulk mailings, filing, fundraising and marketing assistance. You will also help us oversee admissions, the gift shop, answer phones and greet visitors.
- Special Events Volunteer: Join in the fun as we plan and implement exciting special events such as the Halloween Spooktacular or CMV Birthday Party.
CMV is flexible and will work with you to determine the right fit. We ask that you provide CMV with a minimum of four hours per month but will help you to determine the best schedule per your availability.
